The Information Security Specialist will play a pivotal role in protecting the University’s systems, data, and users. His/Her expertise will be critical in maintaining a secure environment and mitigating risks.
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Information Security or related field plus professional certification in cybersecurity such as CISSP, CISM, CEH plus a minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar role.In addition, the applicant must have an analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.
Security Architecture:
Designing and implementing robust security measures for the University’s networks, systems, and applications.
Incident Response:
Investigating and responding to security incidents, breaches, and vulnerabilities.
Risk Assessment:
Evaluating risks, conducting security assessments, and recommending improvements.
Policy Development:
Working with the ICT Director to develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
Security Awareness:
Educating users on best practices and security protocols.
Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Threat Intelligence:
Staying informed about emerging threats and trends.
